In continuation of last week’s post, let’s keep talking about how you can get clients with less effort by creating a simple internet marketing plan. The final two steps are:
Internet marketing plan step 4: Put together a detailed internet marketing plan
Most people don’t get their marketing done because they have no idea how to get started or what they should be doing that will actually get results. Overwhelmed and frustrated, entrepreneurs watch week after week go by without enough clients to fill their businesses or their bank accounts. So, how do you go about creating a detailed internet marketing plan?
Your first step is to take a look at your average weekly to-do list and decide how much time you can possibly devote to marketing. Experts disagree on the amount of time needed each week for most effectiveness, but you should plan for between 2-4 hours per day. Yep, that was PER DAY! That might seem like a lot right now, but keep in mind that as you get into the swing of things, you will get more efficient and your marketing will take less and less time. Also, as your marketing starts to bring in more clients, you will have more money available to outsource your marketing tasks to others, freeing up most (if not all!) of your time for taking care of clients and working on growing your business.
Internet marketing plan step 5: Follow through on your internet marketing plan
Okay, this might seem like an obvious step, but you might create the perfect internet marketing plan and then life gets in the way and before you know it, your internet marketing plan is sitting on a shelf gathering dust. And you still don’t have enough clients. So, this step is very important!
If you find yourself lacking the motivation to follow through on your internet marketing plan on your own, try to find an accountability buddy to keep you on track. If you don’t have someone who can help you, consider contacting a professional to walk you through the process.
