So I let the idea simmer, then die out, until one day I was catching up with a friend I hadn’t spoken with in a while, and she asked me how my book was coming along. (Yeah, that’s right; I can’t even begin to tell you how many clients have come to me for help because they saw my books and just knew I was the person to help them!)

And that’s when Amazon stepped in to begin promoting my books for me.

Yes, it’s true. Amazon will put its weight behind your books if they show an inkling of doing well on their own. Those top-selling spots are what helped Amazon pick up the promotion for me. They could see the books were selling steadily and started to promote them. In email recommendations. In suggested purchases on similar titles. To the point where the books started to sell about fifteen to twenty copies per day, without me doing anything past the very simple actions taken during the launch period.
